On a personal note
My wife, Janine, and I built our second home at Turtleback Mountain Resort in 2007. When the future of the golf course was at stake, we closed our video production business, sold our home in Rio Rancho, made Elephant Butte our full-time residence, and partnered with the City of Elephant Butte to manage the golf course, clubhouse, and restaurant, all with the goal of keeping it open until a buyer for the property was secured. Needless to say, we lacked the operational experience but made up for it in our tenacity to see it through, even with the challenges of Covid. It wasn’t perfect but we’re grateful for the experience and are proud to call the City of Elephant Butte our home.
